News - Bristol's and the UK's best learning centre
Generous grant from Co-op
In October 2013, we were invited to open the new Co-operative Food Store located opposite the Learning Centre in St George. We received a very generous grant of £500 from the local Co-operative.
Thanks to this contribution and all other support to CFLC. These allow us to continue striving to improve the children's education in our local communities.
Working
Working with us offers an excellent opportunity to gain some real experience in the education sector. You will work directly with both primary and secondary school students, supporting them in Mathematics, English Language and Science. You will also have the opportunity to support the development of new and innovative projects and teaching resources, which will be used by teachers in our support centre. This opportunity is especially valuable to graduates working towards QTS, PGCE, BA or BSc Ed courses.
Volunteering
Volunteering placement offers first-hand experience of working in education innovation for a rapidly growing supplementary school. It offers the opportunity of working with the students directly to ensure top-quality delivery of core subjects. This involves supporting students’ learning patterns and designing activities and challenges for both formative and summative assessments. You will also have the chance to help create new techniques and share yours, developing teaching resources that will be used in our centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to become a teacher or teaching assistant or who just loves working with children.
